Field characters: Many-branched tree 10 m tall, trunk diameter 10-20 cm dbh, bark light gray, slash pale yellowish white, fruits blackish purple, profuse, in pendulous racemes, along branches and trunk. Only this plant seen.
Locality: Xieng Khoang Province, Kham District, Kham Medicinal Biodiversity Preserve, 15 km from Kham town.
Habitat: Broadleaved evergreen submontane forest. Edge of forest along road.
