Field Characters: Treelet 4 m tall, fruits green, ellipsoid, split open, revealing a globular, yellow to red, glossy and translucent seed.

Locality: Bolikhamxai Province, Paksan district, Somsavath Village, Medicinal Plant Preserve, at 20 km from Paksan city center.

Habitat: Secondary forest. Remnants of broadleaved evergreen, lowland tropical rain forest, in regeneration from past conversion process.

Altitude: 190 m asl

Habitat: Secondary forest along a road at the eastern flank of the Nakai Nan Theum National Park.

Field Characters: A small tree, 2-3 m high, leaves alternate, fruits green, when ripe yellow. 

Locality: Dong na tat forest preserve, Km 19,  Kaisone phomvihan district, Savannakhet province. GPS reading: : 16o 39.313’ N; 104o 51.947’ E.

 Habitat: Broadleaved evergreen lowland tropical rainforest, with some degree of past conversion. Forest opening.

Altitude: 160 m asl.
