Field Characters: Treelet, 10 m tall, stem slender, flower buds brown, open flowers reddish brown.
Locality: Savannakhet Province, Kaysone district, Medicinal Biodiversity Preserve, at 19 km from city center on road Kaysone-Seno. Forest edge, along road separating the Preserve and Dong Natad Protected Area.
Habitat: Broadleaved evergreen, lowland tropical rain forest in regeneration from some degree of past conversion.
Altitude: 158 m asl.
