Column 1 (A) for Disease/disorder codes - diarrhea (D), fever (F), liver effects (L), pain (P) and rheumatism (R).
Column 2 (B): Plant Family.
Column 3 (C): Voucher collection number (deposited in herbaria).
Column 4 (D): species Latin binomial.
Column 5 (E): Codes for corroborative uses for specific treatments (ethnobotanical or bioassay results) found in global literature, namely Present (Y), Not found (blank), shared use within Laos (L).
Column 6 (F): Google scholar citation counts (per species).
Column 7 (G): PubMed citation counts (per species).
Column 8 (H): Embase citation counts (per species).
Column 9 (I): LOTUS citation counts (number of citations per species).
Column 10 (J): LOTUS compound counts (number of distinct chemical isolates per species).
Column 11 (K): NAPRALERT ethnomedical citation count (number of citations recording ethnomedical uses, per species).
Column 12 (L): NAPRALERT ethnomedical uses count (number of ethnomedical uses reported, per species).

Column 18 (Q): species distribution code: alpha-numerical code reflecting the number of countries in which the species has been reported as native, namely w (widespread); z (introduced from western hemisphere).
Column 19 (R): Native Range: List of countries that World Flora Online reports the species with reported distribution.
Column 20 (S): Introduced Range (World Flora Online): List of countries where that species is introduced (non-native).
