Field Characters: Large herb, leaves banana-like, bladess 60 cm long, fruits globular, green, on a terminal, densely and narrowly packed raceme-like paniculate cluster.

Locality: Bolikhamxay Province, Paksan District, Somsavath Village, Medicinal Plant Preserve, at 20 km from Paksan city center.

Habitat: Secondary forest, Remnants of broadleaved evergreen,lowland tropical rainforest, in regeneration from past conversion process.

Altitude: 190 m asl.

Habitat: Tropical rainforest on flat level lands. 

Altitude: 150 m asl.
