Field Characters: Large liana-like shrub, leaf pinnate to bipinnate, fruits dull green, in dense clusters.
Locality: Oudomxay Province, Muang Xay District, Donxay Village, Medicinal Biodiversity Preserve, about 3 km south of the city.
Habitat: Forest at bottom of a slope in a broadleaved, mixed evergreen lowland tropical rainforest on a mountain slope.
Altitude: 740 m asl.

Field Characters: Erect shrubs, up to 5 m tall. Leaves with petiole up to 20 cm long. Inflorescences 5-15 cm long, pubescent. Fruit a berry, spheroid.
Locality: Khammuan Province; Nyommalath District; Thongkong Village, road side of Route to MBP; at the southern reaches of Nakai Nam Theum National Park.
Habitat: Tropical rainforest on flat level lands.
Altitude: 150 m asl.
