Field Characters: Tree; leaves lancolate, 7-10 cm length, ~3 cm width, leathery, prominent veins, upper side glabrous; fruits round to oblong, ~2 cm diam., exocarp red, white/translucent endocarp, fleshy, one-seeded.

Locality: Khammouane Province; Nyomalat District; north side of Route 12 between Xiang Dao and Na Huong 

Habitat: Flat part of hill, just north of Route 12; secondary forest; partial sun; dry, red, sandy soil.

Altitude: 230 m asl
