Field characters: Shrub, thorned, leaves with acute apex, serrate and pronounced lobes which similarly come to points, leaves white on reverse.
Locality: Xieng Khouang Province, Kham District, Xieng Khouang Medicinal Biodiversity Preserve, forest on the other side of the small valley behind the lone house with the animal pen, off the mountain road between Muang Kham and Ban Tha.
Habitat: Roadside. Good quality secondary tropical rainforest, on a mountain slope.
