Field Characters: Medium-large tree, leaves opposite, ovate, acute, branches dark red, bark light brown to gray and mottled, with green, red, and beige spots, bark slash reveals a vibrant red color underlain by light beige.

Locality: Bolikhamxay Province, Bolikhan District, Somsavath Medicinal Plant Peserve, off road near Ban Kampay and Ban Somsavath.

Habitat: Roadsise. Good quality, seconday tropical rainforest, lowland.

Altitude: 163 m asl.
