Field Characters: Shrub 3-5 m tall, glabrous with many branches. Leaf oblong or subobovate. Inflorescence axillary, dichasial or pleiochasial, umbelliform. Flower sepals glabrous, ovate. Fruits a berry.

Locality: Khammouane Province, Nyomalat District, north side of Route 12, between Xiang Dao and Na Huong. 

Habitat:  Side of hill, just north of Route 12, between Xiang Dao and Na Huong.

Field Characters:  Treelet, fruits pale greenish, ellipsoid to ellipsoid-ovoid, with perceptible longitudinal angles/ridges.

Locality:  Bolikhamxai Province, Paksan District, Somsavath Village, Medicinal Plant Preserve, at 20 km from Paksan City center.

Habitat:  Secondary forest. Remnants of broadleaved evergreen, lowland tropical rain forest, in regeneration from past conversion process.
